Purpose of the Job:
To acquire the talent that Nisir requires and ensure early engagement of new staff by providing effective recruitment and on-boarding services across Nisir.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Prepare internal/external notices and advertisements for vacant positions, receive applications and testimonials of candidates for vacant posts, screen applicants for basic compliance with position qualifications; and summarize resumes for easier evaluation during follow-on steps.
• Respond to applicants’ inquiries both orally and in writing as required.
• Schedule paper examinations and interviews, communicate schedules to interview committee, and communicate these to applicants, in consultation with relevant functions.
• Conduct background and reference checks on shortlisted candidates to ensure the authenticity of information provided during candidates’ interview sessions.
• Communicate recruitment committee decisions to applicants.
• Provide job offer letters to newly recruited employees.
• Ensure completion of required pre-employment formalities such as medical check, criminal background certificate, registration with the social security fund, and due completion of all staff forms for record purposes.
• Provide employment letter and other relevant documents to the selected candidates
• Coordinate with the Learning and Development Officer to conduct induction and on-boarding of new employees.
• Maintain good relationships with appropriate employment sources such as Universities, Colleges, Employment Agencies, etc.
• Develop position management procedures and policies and coordinate the timely preparation and review of job descriptions and specifications.
• Support the Learning and Development Officer in developing and implementing a competency mapping framework and ensure the appropriate application of competency dictionaries in performance management, career development and other talent programs.
• Define and implement talent pipeline strategy and processes, and career mobility programs including the definition of competencies and career paths.
• Develop and recommend succession management strategies, policies, and program design, setting scope and boundaries for the talent pool and using it to identify succession gaps/ assess bench strength and performance and potential of the talent pool.
• Advice and support employees to realize their career development aspirations and oversee the implementation of a career progression scheme.
• Conduct leadership assessments, and design and implement appropriate executive/leadership development programs.
• Conduct culture, employee engagement and retention assessments and provide insights based on rigorous analysis of assessment data.
• Set employee satisfaction index, conduct satisfaction surveys and propose remedial actions.
• Provide feedback to Communities of Expertise to continually assess the effectiveness of recruiting tools and processes.
• Maintain a record of all recruitment and selection activities.
• Conduct exit interviews for employees whose employment contract terminates.
Qualification and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Management, or related fields
• Four (4) years relevant experience. Prior experience in the financial industry is an added advantage.
